OK, so here's the deal.
All the maps and the models will be finished. however, no coding will be done to JO to make the weapons menus and whatever else we were planning on will be done.
JO mp has disapointed me. It seems a beast not worth saving.
I would, however, like to do all these things for Jedi Academy(assuming it's possible). Since JA appears that it will be JO: The way it SHOULD have been done, it seems a better choice to put all the work into.
The coding for EF will continue and will make the EF folks happy when they can jam the butt of their pistol into the back of a klingon's head.
And this also means one more thing for the JO maps. the item placement won't be spot on for halo's, not that they would have been, but it will be adjusted for the unique game play of JO.
So there you have it. Any questions?

Well at this point we don't even know what vehichles will be avalible in JA so, yeah... we've no idea. and, while I do intend to atlest try and inplement the vehicles yall have to remember that Halo has a really cool physics engine that alows the warthog to behave the way it does. To my knowlege, those types of physics are not possible in the Q3 engine. more may be possible with JA but I'm certain that getting it to behave the same way will be impossible. But we'll try to get it as close as possible ;D

I haven't even started on the melee yet. And I don't have the foggiest idea how i'm going to do it . right now i'm trying to figure out how to make the phaser shoot single shots. I've got the stasis farly close to being the plasma pistol, however I can't figure out how to change the firing rate. The AR is comming along nicely from the scavenger.

u'll need to code a new firiign rate in for it.
the melle weapon i woiudl assume that u would just key frame the action of the gun in its course of its swing. the amount fo key frames depending on how fast u want the swing to be. more key frames = slower speed.
or use a skeltal strcuture for it and simply animate the skeltal and join it to the weapon thus saving having to move the whloe weapon . so u just move a line instead.

Do you know which files I need to change to add the firing rate?
I want to use the alt fire for the melee, and I want to use that alt fire of some weapons for the main fire and the alt fire for some weapons for a diferent weapon. Do you have any idea how I would go about accompishing that?

LMAO what just said was a complete tongue twister dude. let me see about it cause i have a m8 who was doing soe coding so al ask him. but its fairly simple changin fire rate and stuff.
all u do is change the value to something greater so that it fires faster.
and for different firing things for different weapons u have to change the code, basically u just cut and paste the slice of code which tells the game to say fire primary for one weapon, move that piece of code to a different weapon for either primary or secondary and it will use that code instead. so when u fire it u will fire that projectile type instead of the default one.
u have got some kind of codig tool don't u? am talking ef btw.
and the hm source code. it takesa a while to find things like and it first it all looks jibberish but u soon get to understand what mostr of it means.

yeah, I'm useing crimson editor.
for the stasis I can change the velocity but it doesn't change the firing rate, there is still the same dellay between when I fire and when I can fire again.
